The 23rd Psalm is the presented from a view of the Good Shepherd in the temple of God. Of all the Psalms, it towers as the most popular inspirational and widely read six verses in the Bible. The author captures the theme of the Shepherd in the temple of God, the true pasture where living waters flow from the throne, the protective sheepfold of the sheep. Written in easy to follow style, it develops the theme of the house of God and the Great Shepherd. The book weaves together the theme of God's Presence in the fulfilled eschatological temple drawing from John's Gospel, 1 Peter and the Book of Revelation.

The 23rd Psalm The Good Shepherd In The Temple of God edition by William Bell Religion Spirituality eBooks

"The 23rd Psalm" is a heart-warming and an insightful look at Psalm 23, not using the usual approach, but reading it from a different perspective, with Spiritual eyes, which gives the Psalm a deeper meaning, imparts a moving message, and brings us closer to the Shepherd of our soul, Christ Jesus. William Bell, as he explains, approaches the reading of Psalm 23 from the perspective of "the relationship of The Shepherd in the Temple of GOD, as the sheepfold for the sheep" which allows us to see a "covenantal picture of the Heavenly Temple of GOD that has come to be with man; highlighting a more eschatological approach to the Psalm. It emphasizes the end-times message of Redemption." This perspective truly opens up the deeper meaning of the Psalm, and we are able to see (understand) how the Great Shepherd cares for us, how He makes sure we lack for nothing, how He is always with us as the Shepherd of our soul, His rod and His staff protecting us when we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, comforting us, and guiding us to still waters, as He did David. The book addresses each verse in the Psalm, and each verse is a chapter unto itself, giving meaning to the words and information that is helpful in receiving more than just a general understanding of the Psalm, and it is all backed up by the Scriptures. Mr. Bell addresses the poignant questions that David asks GOD, "How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? How long will my enemy be exalted over me? (David's enemy was death, the death of separation by sin)" When we look at Psalm 23 through this lens, that David was lamenting not over his physical enemies, but instead his Spiritual enemy - death, the grave, and separation from GOD - we also can experience the Joy and Peace and Love that David felt when he wrote Psalm 23, and understood his future Salvation was secure with the Shepherd of his soul. If we look at Psalm 22 as the Cross of Christ Jesus, Psalm 23 as the Resurrection of Christ Jesus, which assures us of Everlasting Life with our Heavenly Father, and Psalm 24 as the Ascension of Christ Jesus; we are able to Rejoice with David in our Restoration, Redemption, and Salvation given us through the Great Shepherd, and His Work on the Cross. Mr. Bell writes, "In the Kingdom of GOD, death can no longer cast its shadow over the people of GOD. In the Kingdom, GOD has swallowed up death, having removed the Old Covenant covering and veil as the ministration of death {ISA 25:7-8; 2COR 3:6}.Sin-death was the only enemy that kept the flock separated from the Presence of the Shepherd {ISA 59:1-2}. Chapter 12 - "My Cup Runs Over" - is aptly shown to be The Good Shepherd's Love for us, how His Love cannot be contained; how it overflows and surrounds us. In Chapter 13 - "Surely Goodness and Mercy Shall Follow Me" - we see that through the Goodness and Mercy of the Great Shepherd, the Old Covenant was Fulfilled, the Torah completed, and His sheep herded safely into the New Covenant, and made to lie down in green pastures, He leads His sheep beside still waters, ["still waters are a symbol of peace, quiet, healing, and rejuvenation. It answers to the body, soul, and the mind's need to rest from labor. Along with rest, we need the healing and rejuvenation that comes from the Eternal Sabbath Rest from the burden of sin with the Peace found only in GOD and Christ Jesus" {MATT 11:28-30; ROM 5:1; HEB 4:1-9}...pg. 18], and He Restores His Sheep, Promising them that they will dwell in the House of the LORD Forever, in an Everlasting Covenant with the Shepherd of our soul.
I highly recommend this book if you desire to have a deeper, Spiritual, and Covenantal understanding of Psalm 23.

The 23rd Psalm The Good Shepherd In The Temple of God edition by William Bell Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews

The wonderful gift that Christ gave us in Himself at His return was a gift that the writers of the gospels hoped for. I love this book and look for more like it to read and examine along with the Bible. Thank you William your books are a blessing.
This 103-page book on the well-known 23rd Psalm demonstrates the very strong likelihood that we've never actually understood the depth of this great piece of King David's literature; and, though 103 pages, it didn't take brother William Bell very long to imply this lack of comprehension within traditional Christianity. William did a splendid job breaking down the Psalm into an outline form and working from that outline to fill in the body of David's inspired skeleton-prophecy points and sub-points with Scripture from the remainder of God's inspired Word to illustrate just how the 23rd Psalm has been so beautifully fulfilled.
Makes me feel like we really do have a father from heaven, A Father that cares; And that it is easy to come to the Father. Great book for anyone that is in disparity or may not believe anymore; even Atheists. Some people put too much focus on what is seen instead of what is unseen, 2 Cor 418. William proves in the 23rd psalms that no matter what we go through, we are more than conquerors. Romans 837
Brother William Bell does a fantastic job of demonstrating the true meaning of the 23 Psalm. I had seen some of the ideas within the chapter through personal study, but it was his brilliant exegesis and clear, concise comments that really opened the door to a world of information that was not only challenging, but also very comforting. I would encourage anyone to read this great book by a great brother in Christ.
